Kenneth W. Moffett is Associate Professor of Political Science at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. He received his B.A. in political science (with a minor in economics) from California State University, Fresno in 2000. He received his M.A. in 2001, and his Ph.D. in 2006 from The University of Iowa in political science. His scholarly work is concentrated in American politics and public policy.

Dr. Moffett coauthored a book entitled Web 2.0 and the Political Mobilization of College Students in 2016. He has published academic articles in American Politics Research, Climatic Change, Legislative Studies Quarterly, Party Politics, and others. He has written essays that have appeared in places like The Washington Post's Monkey Cage Blog, The Hill, The Huffington Post and the Edwardsville Intelligencer. Dr. Moffett has provided analysis and commentary for numerous broadcast and print media outlets including the National Journal, National Public Radio, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, KSDK, KMOV, KMOX, and KTVI.

He and his wife, Grete, live in the St. Louis area. Together, they enjoy traveling the United States and the world, going to musicals, and hiking. In his spare time, Moffett roots for the Fresno State Bulldogs, the San Francisco Giants, and the San Francisco 49ers. He is also an avid baker, photographer, and reader.
